Why Mango Fresno?
Our Mango Fresno Kombucha is one of our seasonal flavors, packed with the perfect balance of juicy mango sweetness and a subtle kick from Fresno chilies. It’s only available for another month and a half, so now’s the time to get creative and savor every last drop. And trust us, once you’ve tried it in this recipe, you’ll never look at ribs the same way again.
Recipe: Mango Fresno Baby Back Ribs
Ingredients:
- 1-2 racks of Baby Back Ribs
- 2 cans of Han’s Kombucha Mango Fresno
- Juice from 2 juicy limes
- 0.5 tsp of Cumin (Seeds or Ground)
- 1 Vidalia Sweet Onion, sliced
- 3-4 cloves of Garlic, roughly chopped
Instructions:
- Brine the Ribs: Start by brining your ribs for 4-8 hours in a mix of Mango Fresno Kombucha, fresh lime juice, cumin, Vidalia onion slices, and roughly chopped garlic. This brine will tenderize the ribs and infuse them with layers of flavor.
- Prepare the Grill: Get your grill ready – aim for a temperature around 275°F.
- Grill the Ribs: Place the brined ribs on the grill, bone side down, and let them cook for about 2-3 hours. Keep an eye on them, but resist the urge to keep flipping—low and slow is the name of the game.
Mango Fresno BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are grilling, take your BBQ sauce game to the next level.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1/2 can of Han’s Kombucha Mango Fresno
- 1 Fresh Mango, diced
- 1 Fresno Chili, sliced
Instructions:
- Make the Sauce: Pour your favorite BBQ sauce into a saucepan and add 1/2 can of Mango Fresno Kombucha, the diced fresh mango, and the sliced Fresno chili.
- Simmer: Cook over medium-low heat until the sauce thickens to a coat-able texture, about 15-20 minutes.
- Brush It On: During the last 5-10 minutes of grilling, brush your ribs generously with this delicious Mango Fresno BBQ sauce. Let the heat caramelize the sugars in the sauce, creating a sticky, sweet, and spicy glaze that’s pure perfection.
Serve & Enjoy
Once your ribs are done, serve them up hot off the grill with extra Mango Fresno BBQ sauce on the side. Pair with your favorite summer sides, and of course, a chilled can of Mango Fresno Kombucha to wash it all down.
